Obituary

Alamanto J."Moe, Al & Amo" Molignano of Charlestown, died unexpectedly in Florida on Saturday November 4, 2006. He was 83 years old.

Al was born in Boston on July 25, 1923. He grew up in the North End of Boston where he attended Boston Public Schools. Al enlisted into the United States Army on April 23, 1943. He served during World War 2 and was discharged on March 23, 1946 with the rank of Private First Class. He began his own trucking firm and was owner and operator of H & L Trucking. Al was a member of I.T.A.M. Post # 8 of Medford.

Al is the beloved husband of Dorothy (Hall) Molignano. He is the devoted father of Diana White and her husband Thomas of Charlestown, Jack Pavia and his wife Nancy of Beverly and Donna Gorman and her husband Michael of Randolph. He is the loving grandfather of 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He is the uncle of Jenny, Manuel, Juanita and Raymond.


Al's Funeral will be held on Monday November 13, 2006 at 9 am. from The Carr Funeral Home 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by his Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church 55 Warren St. Charlestown at 10 am. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours for Al will be held on Sunday November 12, 2006 from 1 to 5 pm. Burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
