Ella Mae (Watson) Beaulieu, 71, passed away on Friday at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Mystic on November 16, 1934 the daughter of Lucille Willis Watson of Mystic and the late Floyd Allen Watson.
On August 4, 1951 in Mystic, she was united in marriage to the late Norman Rene Beaulieu. They were married for 51 years and were blessed with six children. She was a loving wife and devoted mother and will be deeply missed.
Ella was a homemaker for most of her life, and was employed as a cleaner in her earlier years. Ella loved taking care of her family, cooking and sewing. She also enjoyed spending time with her 100-year-old mother, as well as her sisters. She loved tending to her beautiful flower garden and watching the birds, squirrels, and wildlife outside her home..
Ella was a devoted Christian. Ella battled cancer for the last five years of her life, she took one day at a time, trusted in the Lord and her wonderful Dr. Jaga. Ella loved Dr. Jaga and all the staff at Eastern Connecticut Hematology and Oncology Associates.
In addition to her mother, Ella is survived by her children, Norman R. Beaulieu of Middlesex, James M. Beaulieu of Norwich , Valerie Viens and her husband, Wilfred of Lisbon, and Diana L. Valero and her husband Antonio of Mystic; her grandchildren and great-grandchild, Jarrod Viens, Carrie Viens, Sarah Viens, Samantha Hornby, Angelien Pheland, and Michaela Hornby.; two sisters, Mildred Bray of Mystic and Louise Kenyon of Groton,; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two children, Allen James and Bonnie Lee Beaulieu.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic on Thursday at 11am. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
