Nancy R. (Robinson) Walker of Needham, formerly of Slidell LA died on Monday October 23rd at the Stanley R. Tippett House in Needham. She was 80 years old. Born in Punxsutawney Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Ruth (Boring) and A.C. Robinson. She graduated from Punxsutawney High School. Mrs. Walker worked as the executive secretary for Mr. R. L. Gourley at the R. L. Gourley Company in Wellesley. After her marriage in 1970 to Joseph F. Walker, she worked as an administrator for the U.S. Government in Washington D.C. and then retired to Slidell Louisiana. Mrs. Walker returned to Needham four years ago and was a resident of Avery Crossing where she enjoyed many activities there. The beloved wife of the late Joseph F. Walker, she was the loving mother of Gregory C. Depp and his wife Maureen of Needham and step mother of John Walker of Steamboat Springs CO and Judith Haws of Bayse, VA. Sister of Diane Baughman of Yarmouthport and A.C. Robinson of South Carolina. Dear grandmother of Brian, Carolyn and Eric. Aunt of Laura Dell, Melissa Baughman and Nancy DiRomualdo. A memorial service will be held at the Christ Episcopal Church Chapel 1132 Highland Avenue Needham on Saturday November 18th at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
