New Bedford - Hazel J. (Collins) Davoll, 93, of Westport passed away Monday, November 6, 2006 at Brandon Woods of New Bedford.
Born in Westport, daughter of the late Peleg J.A. and Abbie A. (Sanford) Collins, she was a lifelong resident of Westport. A graduate of Westport High School, she was a legal secretary for the Law Firm of Andrew P. Doyle in New Bedford until her retirement in 1965. She also worked as a legal secretary for McCarthy & McCarthy in Fall River and Perry, Hicks & McCawley in New Bedford and worked in the trust office for Merchant’s Bank in New Bedford. She was a member of the Westport Women’s Club, Pacific Union Congregational Church, Westport and the Nonquitt Bowling League of New Bedford. Mrs. Davoll loved to garden.
Survivors include a daughter: Alice I. Huff and her husband Robert of Dartmouth; and 2 granddaughters: Sarah E. Huff of Swansea and Rebekah A. Huff of Orlando, FL.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family.
