James J. Dooley, 56, of New Bedford died Thursday November 2, 2006 unexpectedly at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in New Bedford, the son of Mary A. (Holland) Dooley and the late John H. Dooley, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
He was a communicant of St. Lawrence Church.
Mr. Dooley was formerly employed in the housekeeping department at St. Luke's Hospital for 16 years.
He was a graduate of New Bedford High School and Fisher Junior College.
Survivors include his mother; a brother, John H. Dooley and his wife Mary of Acushnet; two neices, Meghann Dooley and Kerin Dooley; and a nephew, Sean Dooley.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10 AM in St. Lawrence Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Sunday from 4-7 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. For directions and guestbook, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
