Mrs. Alma H. (Sawin) Conlon 72, of Sandwich, Ma and a former longtime Franklin resident, died Wednesday November 1, 2006 at the home of her daughter in Franklin. She was the wife of David Conlon, and the wife of the late Maurice Woodman who died in 1982.
Born in Oxford, Ma. September 22, 1934 a daughter of the late Henry and Etta (Reil) Sawin, she was raised and educated in Oxford, and lived in Franklin for most of her life before moving to Sandwich 8 years ago.
Until her retirement she worked as the office manager in the office of Dr. Stanley Starr in Medfield.
She was a former communicant and Eucharistic Minister at St. Mary’s Church in Franklin, and was also a member of the Franklin Quilters.
Surviving in addition to her husband are 2 sons Brian J. Woodman and his wife Judi of Vermont, Brent F. Woodman and his wife Ann of New Jersey, 2 daughters Robyn M. Carlucci and her husband Paul of Franklin, and Margo J. Vogel and her husband Leonard of Farmville, Virginia and 10 grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Monday November 6, 2006 at 8:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. with a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church 1 Church Sq. Franklin, at 9AM. Interment will follow in the family lot in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Milford.
Calling hours are Sunday November 5, 2006 from 2-6PM at the funeral home.
