SALEM- Gladys W. (Conant) Bishop, 83, wife of the late Chester Bishop, Sr., formerly of Salem, died Monday evening, September 16, 2002 in St Elizabeth’s Hospital, Brighton, following an extended illness.
Born in Beverly, she was the daughter of the late Roger W. and Mary E. (Norman) Conant.
She was a resident of Salem for many years prior to her illness, and worked at Webbers Department Store and Pioneer Plastics, both in Salem.
Mrs. Bishop is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Chester and Irene bishop of Rowley, two granddaughters, Sarah K. Bishop of Haverhill, Lauren M. Bishop of Rowley, and a half brother, Jack Williams of Spokane, Washington. She was the sister of the late Ruth Lowe.
Funeral services were private. There were no visiting hours. Arrangements by the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem.
