Dorinne M. (Guimond) Maxwell, 68, of Geneva died on Wednesday November 1, 2006 at home. She was the beloved wife of the late William H. Maxwell, an Assistant Football Coach at Syracuse University and who died on October 22, 1998.
Born in North Attleboro, MA on August 30, 1938 she was a loving daughter of the late Henry and Alice (Trumblay) Guimond.
She was raised and educated in North Attleboro. She was a communicant of St. Stephen’s Church in Geneva. Dorinne was proud of her community service and to all she helped by serving on the Board of Directors of the Geneva Center of Concern. An avid golfer and football enthusiast she was a strong supporter of the Hobart Football program. She had lived in Geneva for the past 15 years and was formerly of Syracuse and Wareham, MA.
She is survived by her devoted children William Maxwell and his wife Toni of Syracuse, Daniel Maxwell of Indianapolis, Indiana, Michelle Gold and her husband David of Springfield, Virginia and Russ Maxwell of Buffalo. Her brothers Richard Guimond of Groton,MA and Peter Guimond of Arizona. Her cherished grandchildren Nicholas Gold, Anthony Gold and Jessica Gold. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend graveside funeral services on Wednesday November 8th at 11:00 A.M. at the Spring Brook Cemetery, Spring St. Mansfield. Burial will follow.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday November 7th from 6:30-9:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield.
In lieu of flowers Dorinne’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Geneva Center of Concern Inc. 58 Avenue D, Geneva, New York 14456.
