Peter D. Grenon, 63, of South Easton formerly of Mansfield and Norwood died unexpectedly on Monday October 30, 2006 at home. He was the beloved husband of Linda A. (Valentine) Grenon to whom he was wed to for 38 years.
Born in Boston, MA on June 4, 1943 he was a dear son of the late Arthur and Mary (Donahue) Grenon.
He was educated in Norwood schools and was a 1961 graduate of Norwood High School. He also had attended Northeastern University. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard.
Mr. Grenon was an Analyst having worked for Millbrook Distribution Services in Leicester for 6 years. He had formerly been employed at Stop & Shop for 20 years.
Peter enjoyed the times spent with his loving family and was also an avid fisherman. He had lived in South Easton for the past 6 years and was formerly of Mansfield for 25 years and his hometown of Norwood.
In addition to his beloved wife Linda he is survived by his devoted children; Bryan P. Grenon and his wife Leslie of Walpole, Wayne M. Grenon and his wife Sara of Mansfield and Nicole L. Murphy and her husband Richard of Reading. His dear brothers and sisters Jane Grenon of Norwood, David Grenon of Kingston, New Hampshire, John Grenon of New Bedford, Carole Costello of Marietta, Georgia and Denise Mutascio of Norwood. His cherished grandchildren Jacob, Kelsey and Benjamin. Also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews.
His funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Friday November 3rd at 7:45 A.M. from the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield followed by a mass of Christian celebrated at 9 A.M. in St. Catherine’s Siena Church, 547 Washington St. Norwood. Burial will be private.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday November 2nd from 4-8 P. M. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, Peter’s family has requested that donations in his memory be made to the Jimmy Fund 44 Binney St. Boston, MA 02115.
