Mary Helen (Gibson) Sealey, 71, of 1900 Gold Star Highway, Mystic, passed away peacefully Sunday in her home.
A life-long area resident, Mary was born in Old Mystic on August 10, 1935 the daughter of the late Lloyd W. and Mary A. (Coates) Gibson. Raised in Mystic, she attended local schools.
She was married to Grover C. Sealey Jr. in Groton on November 28, 1953. Grover died April 11, 1993.
Mary is survived by her children, Rollin Sealey and Sheryl Sealey of Pawcatuck, and Debbie Sealey of Waterford; her siblings, Rollin Rathbun of Oakdale, and George Rathbun of Pawcatuck and Nancy Savona of North Stonington.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was predeceased by her stepfather, Rollin Rathbun, and her siblings, Lloyd Gibson, and Gloria Bliven.
Her family will greet relatives and friends at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic on Wednesday from 6-8pm. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 11am with the Rev. Patricia Liberty of the Mystic Congregational Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
