Obituary

Jay S. Brown 79 of Bellingham died October 28 in the Milford Regional Medical Center following a long illness. He was the husband of Josephine (Pitasi) Brown.

Born in Framingham, June 6, 1927 the son of the late Lloyd and Grace (Webber) Brown, Mr. Brown had lived in Bellingham for most of his life. He had been a truck driver for the Varney Concrete Company in Bellingham for 40 years before retiring. He had previously worked for the Bellingham Lumber Company.

Mr. Brown left Bellingham High School in 1945 to serve in the Army. He attained the rank of Technician Fifth Grade and in 2000 Bellingham High School presented him with his High School diploma. Mr. Brown was a Free Mason, an avid gardener and enjoyed going to his summer cottage in Alton New Hampshire.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Jayne Brown and her husband Glenn Connor of Blackstone and his son, Lloyd “Gus” Brown of Norfolk. He was the father of the late Harold Brown.

He is also survived by his brother, David Brown of Seffner, Fla., his sister, Audrey Reid of Cheshire, CT and his grandchildren, Sean and Jesse.

He was the brother of the late Lloyd Brown.

His funeral service will be held on November 2 in the Medway Village Church at 2:00p.m. Burial will be in Oakhill Cemetery in Bellingham.

Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. in the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home 3 Barber St. in Medway.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, Grand Central Station P.O. Box 4777 N.Y., N.Y. 10163.
