OBITUARY
Charles S. Giniewicz, 95 died Saturday October 28th after a period of failing health. He was the husband for 69 years of Ada (Suprynowicz) Giniewicz.
Born in Middleboro a son of the late Charles and Paulina (Giejnor) Giniewicz he was raised in Abington and attended Abington schools.
He later moved to Whitman where he resided for over 65 years and drove truck for Wilbert Coburn Vault for 25 years. He had previously worked at Stetson Shoe and the Hingham and Fore River shipyards.
He was a long time member of the Polish Club of Abington, but his passion was fishing and he became an avid fisherman.
He was the husband of Ada (Suprynowicz) Giniewicz, father of Janet Cohen of Brockton, Carol Joubert of Holbrook & Barbara Giniewicz of Whitman; grandfather of Steve & Mark Cohen, Michelle Lauretano and Rene’ Worden; great grandfather of Emily & Gianna Lauretano, and Matthew Cohen; brother of Anthony Giniewicz of Bridgewater, Francis Giniewicz of Abington, John Giniewicz of Sandwich, Rachel Gilbert of Rockland and Stella Valentonis of Florida , he was also the brother of the late Catherine Giniewicz, Mary Simonds, Doris Wallent, and William Giniewivz. He is survived by many nieces & nephews.
His funeral will be held on Thursday November 2nd at 9:15 AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel (Route 58 @ the rotary circle) Whitman, followed by a 10:00 AM mass in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman.
