TEWKSBURY - Mrs. June C. (Harris) Farese, 78, among the first Wang employees in the greaterLowell area, died Monday evening, Sept. 16, at the Pines of Tewksbury after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Michael J. Farese, who died May 13, 2000.
She was born and raised in Watertown, a daughter of the late Sylas and Mary C. (Kelley) Harris. She attended Watertown Public Schools. She had resided in Tewksbury for more than 50 years.
In her earlier years, she was a waitress at the former Anchor Restaurant, and the Oaks Restaurant. Since her retirement, she had worked part time at Papa Gino’s in Tewksbury.She retired from Wang Laboratories, where she had worked for more than 22 years.
She was a communicant of St. William’s Church and was also a former member of theTewksbury-Wilmington Emblem Club.
She is survived by one daughter; June E. Farese of Tewksbury, two sons, John and his wifeDeborah (Phelps) Farese of Pembroke, NH, Richard F. Farese and his dear friend Karen Anneseof Pepperell, two sisters; Pauline Sammons of Fla., Maude Major of Tenn., two stepgrandchildren, Jennifer and Julie Charron of NH.
She was also sister of the late Patricia Ellis, George Harris and John Harris.
Her Funeral Mass was held Friday, Sept. 20, in St. William’s Church. Interment was in Tewksbury Cemetery.
