Lionel L. Gagne age 80 of Merrimack, NH, formerly of Salem, NH, died Saturday at the Elliot Hospital, Manchester, NH.
He was born in Lawrence, MA, where he grew up and attended schools. He was a resident of Merrimack for the past 8 years, formerly of Salem, NH, where he live for over 50 years. Mr. Gagne was a retired Die & Color Specialist for Bolta-General Tire in Lawrence, MA. He had also worked at DeMoulas Grocery Store in Salem, NH. He was a former member of St. Joseph Church and the Knights of Columbus in Salem, NH.
Mr. Gagne was a US Navy Veteran, serving during World War II. He was a member of the VFW Post 8546 in Salem, NH, and a member of the North American Family Campers Association, where he was a past NH State Director. He enjoyed stamp collecting, and he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, Oct. 31 at 10 AM at St. Joseph Church. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH.
Calling hours will be held Monday, Oct. 30 from 5-8 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St, Salem, NH.
