Obituary

SWANSEA - Frank Cabral of 120 Swansom Rd., Swansea, died Friday at his home with his family by his side. He was the Husband of Delia (Lima) Cabral. He is survived by One Son: Frank Cabral, Jr. of Raynham, MA.; Two Daughters: Kathleen Talbot and Eileen Cabral both of Swansea, MA.; Five Grandchildren: Gregory Cabral, John and Jacqueline Talbot, Ricky Bielawski, and Kristen Cherwinski; Three Great Grandchildren and Several nieces and nephews. He was also father of the late Theresa A. Bielawski, Grandfather of the late Jeff Cabral, and brother of the late William, Joseph, John, Antone, and Emanuel Cabral, Sarah Patricio, and Mary Rego.

Born in Fall River, the son of the late Joseph Cabral and the late Gertrude Cabral. He was a Swansea resident for 50 years. Before retiring on July 21, 1977, he was a Foreman in charge of bridges in District #6, for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. After retiring he enjoyed fishing. He was a member of St. John of God Church, St. Anthony’s Band Club and the Swansea Community Band where he played Tenor Saxophone for both. He was also a U.S.Army Veteran of WW II.

His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 No. Main St. Monday at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church, Brayton Ave., Somerset, MA. at 10:00 A.M. Internment in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Swansea. There are no calling hours. Kindly omit flowers; donations may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, 502 Bedford St., Fall River, MA. 02720.
