Evelyn P. (Ford) Shaw, 91, formerly of Whitman, died Sunday October 22, in the Wingate at Silver Lake, in Kingston, after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Everett W. Shaw.
Born and brought up in Whitman, daughter of the late Everett C. and Mildred F. (Leavitt) Ford, she was a graduate of Whitman High class of 1932, also attended Burdett Business School.
She was a Whitman resident for many years, an active member of the First Baptist Church of Whitman
In her earlier years, she worked for The Commonwealth Shoe Company in Whitman for many years before marrying.
Evelyn enjoyed sewing, knitting, crafts, and loved to do crosswords puzzles.
She is survived by her 2 sons, Wayne Shaw of Hanover and Ronald Shaw of Bridgewater, her brother Everett C. Ford, Jr , four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Donald L. Ford, Sr.
A funeral service will be held Thursday October 26th at 11:00 A.M. in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street, (Route 58 at the Rotary Circle) Whitman. Burial will follow in the Colebrook Cemetery, Whitman, MA..
