Mary T. (Bucci) Mandarini, a long-time Medford resident and retired traffic supervisor, died Sunday at the Salem Hospital, after a long illness. She was 76.
Born in Boston and raised in Medford she was the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Jennie (DiCesare) Bucci. For over 25 years Mary served as a traffic supervisor and crossing guard and will be remembered by generations of Medford’s children.
She was the beloved wife for 55 years to Louis A. Mandarini, who died this past spring. She was a devoted mother to Louis and his wife Jane, Gary and his wife Marguerite, Leana Mandarini and Gayle Mattivello, Joseph, Teresa Hanlon and her husband Joseph and the late Michael Mandarini. She was a loving grandmother to Louis III, Janine, Angela, Jessica, Amy, Joseph, Michael Mandarini, Joseph Hanlon Jr. She was a dear sister to Joseph Bucci and his wife Betty.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated, Thursday at 9:30 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Fellsway West, Medford. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Relatives and Friends may visit with the family Wednesday 3 - 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford.
It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions be made in Mary's name to the Joselin Diabetes Ctr., 1 Joselin Place, Boston, Mass. 02215.
