Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Route 123) Brockton Wednesday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Parish/St. Edward Church at 9 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Obituary
Jules M. Dupuy, 81 years died Thursday at the Brockton Hospital after a period of failing health. He was born in Brockton, the son of the late Arthur and Bridget (Fitzmaurice) Dupuy. Mr. Dupuy remained a life long resident of the city. He attended Brockton schools but soon after Pearl Harbor he enlisted in the US Marine Corps having lied about his age. He recently received his High School Diploma with other WW II veterans. He served as a Field Cook with the Marines in the Battles of New Guinea, New Britain, Pelelieu and Guadualcanal and also received the Purple Heart from wounds received in action. Upon his return to Brockton he was employed by Noonan Brothers Oil Company. Mr. Dupuy worked with the Noonan’s for over 40 years as a Service Technician. He enjoyed tending his rose garden and was a longtime communicant of St. Edith Stein Church.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years Mary A. (Raspa) Dupuy, a son Robert M. Dupuy of Brockton, a brother Arthur Dupuy of Fishkell, NY and many nieces, nephews great nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Edmund Dupuy, Eleanor Michaelson, Barbara Dupuy, Patricia Hoye and Marguerite Driscoll
