Visitation in the Seventh Day Adventist Church 752 Oak St. Brockton on Wed. 10 to 11 am followed by a service at 11 am officiated by Pastor David Steede, II. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Boston.

Virginia W. (Wines) Walker 81 years died Friday evening at her home surrounded by her family after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late James D. Walker. Mrs. Walker was born August 19, 1925 in Springfield, Mass. a daughter of the late Cornelius and Constance (Timmons) Wines. She was raised and educated in Springfield and had been a resident of Brockton for the past 4 years and previously had lived in Rockland for 22 years. When her husband was a CPO in the US Navy she traveled extensively with him.
Mrs. Walker retired as charge nurse at the Sunset Rest Home in Rockland. She was also a hall monitor at Rockland High School.
She enjoyed playing Scrabble and traveling.
Mrs. Walker was a life time member of the Berea Seventh Day Adventist Church in Boston.
She is survived by five daughters Marion Lord of Concord, NH; Suzanne Garfield of Miami, FL; Donna Ruffin of Brockton; Virginia Wooten of Brockton; Pamula Traylor of Virginia Beach, VA and two sons Edward Garfield of Huntington, PA and Shirley McKinney of Wilmington, DE.
She also leaves 23 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews
She was the sister of the late Elizabeth Wheary, Bernice, Constance and Cornelius Wines
