WORCESTER-Geraldine J. (Bizzarro) D’Allesandro, 72, of Worcester, died Friday, October 20th, in her home. She leaves a son, Anthony D’Allesandro of Boston; 2 daughters, Lisa M. wife of Brad Wass of Auburn and Jean M. wife of Artie Johnson of Sturbridge; her mother, Ruth C. (Germaine) Bizzarro of Worcester; a sister, Jean R. wife of Thomas Holden of Worcester; 3 grandchildren, Matthew, Jenna, and Michael Wass, all of Auburn and a niece, Caroline R. Makowiecki of Holden.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Jerry Bizzarro and graduated from Commerce High School. She worked in the claims department of Hanover Insurance Company for 23 years, retiring in 1999. In her retirement, she worked in the produce department at Stop & Shop Supermarket and was still working until becoming ill.
The funeral is Tuesday, October 24th, from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 11:00 A.M. in Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to UMass-Memorial Hospice, 650 Lincoln Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
