Fall River - Eugene Belanger, 75, of Fall River passed away Friday, October 20, 2006 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Lorraine J. (Couto) Belanger.
Born in Fall River, son of the late Eugene and Emma (Potvin) Belanger, he had lived in Westport for 14 years prior to moving to Fall River. A veteran of the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War, he served in the United States Air Force for over 20 years. Prior to his retirement he was an electronic technician for Raytheon in the SUBSIG Division. Mr. Belanger was a Communicant of St. Thomas Moore Church, Somerset and a former communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, Westport.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: 2 brothers: Roland Belanger of Fall River and Raymond Belanger of Tiverton, RI; 5 sisters: Yvonne Dube of Portsmouth, RI, Emma Nunes of Fall River, Dorothy Wyka of Swansea, Doris Sands of Dartmouth and Theresa Gagliastri of Smithfield, RI; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, October 24, 2006 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Monday 5 - 8 P.M.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
