RYAN- In Dracut, formerly of Malden, October 21st, William J. Devoted son of the late Mary (Ryan) and Earl Russo. Lovingly survived by his cousins, his closest, Elaine M. Fontes, his only godchild, Barbara A Kaye and her husband Robert, Donna Dalton, Gail McKeon, Winnie Lipomi, Holly A. Mckenzie and her husband Sean, Robert, John and Thomas Ryan, Jerry, Betty and Pat Laffey and Michael and Martin Fioretti. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Carroll Funeral Home, 721 Salem Street, (Maplewood Square) on Wednesday morning, October 25th at 10 AM followed by a Graveside Service at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, West Peabody at 11:30 AM. Born in Lowell and a resident of the Malden community for over 50 years, William, at 72 years of age, passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family a year after being diagnosed with cancer.
An avid Red Sox fan, for 47 years until his retirement in 1999 was employed in the enviromental services department at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.
