Syble Henderson Busbin Smith, 81, of Waterloo, died Thursday, October 19, 2006, at Irwin County Hospital in Ocilla. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 22, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Jim Osbron will officiate with burial to follow in the Old Waterloo Cemetery. Jim Mixon, Fred Busbin, Michael Busbin, Henry Busbin, Frederick Busbin and Anthony Busbin will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 21, 2006, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Ms. Smith was born on November 20, 1924 in Irwin County and was the daughter of M. H. Henderson and Verlie Etheridge Henderson, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, T. Y. Busbin and her second husband, Glynn Smith and a granddaughter, Kathy Busbin. She was a retired supervisor with Irwin Manufacturing Company and a member of Irwinville Methodist Church and the Eastern Star.
Ms. Smith is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Thomas Young Busbin and his wife, Vickie, of LaGrange, Harry LaDon Busbin and his wife, Marty, of Waterloo, and Richard Henry Busbin of Waterloo; one daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Jimmy Mixon of Waterloo, one sister, Jeanette Sandiford of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; six grandchildren, Jim Mixon, Fred Busbin, Michael Busbin, Ralph Busbin, Tammy Busbin and Henry Busbin; and nine great grandchildren, T. J. Busbin, Brittany Busbin, Cash Busbin, Rachel Mixon, Nikki Busbin, Hope Busbin, Jonathan Busbin, Mykeal Busbin and Mackenzie Busbin.
