Obituary

Bridgewater- Roger E. St. Pierre, 90, of Bridgewater, died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2006, at Kindred North Eastern Specialty Hospital in Stoughton. He was the husband of the late Mary E. (McCabe) St. Pierre.

Born April 21, 1916, in Gardner, he was the son of the late Emile and Rhea (LaCroix) St. Pierre.

He grew up in Marlboro and had been a resident of Bridgewater since 1945.

Mr. St. Pierre was a U.S. Army staff sergeant during World War II, where he was stationed in Calcutta, India.

He was a senior corrections officer at the Massachusetts Correction Institute, from where he retired.

After retirement, Mr. St. Pierre was a supervisor at George O. Jenkins Co.

He was a member of Knights of Columbus, 49ers Club of Bridgewater and was a little league coach.

Mr. St. Pierre was a golfer, sports enthusiast and fan of the Red Sox and Patriots.

He was the father of Robert R. and Ronald S. St. Pierre, both of Huntingtown, MD, and the late Richard J. St. Pierre; grandfather of Laurie, Robert, Michael, Richard and Maria St. Pierre. Also survived by his great-grandchild, Jaden St. Pierre.

His Funeral will be held from the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater, Monday at 8:15 am. Funeral Mass in St. Thomas Aquinas Church at 9 am. Visiting hours are Sunday 4-7 pm. Burial will be in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery.
