WORCESTER-Thomas J. Mitchell, 77, of Worcester, died Wednesday, October 18th in UMass-Memorial Hospital after a short illness. He leaves 3 brothers; Robert B. and his wife Nancy Mitchell of Kennesaw, GA, Vincent L. and his wife Miriam A. Mitchell and William L. and his wife Anne M. Mitchell with whom he lived. Many nephews and nieces; including Timothy P. and Sean T. Mitchell both of Worcester. A sister Mary G. Maki predeceased him.
He was born in Worcester the son of Thomas A. and Mary (Bowler) Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell had been employed at the former Worcester City Hospital for 35 years in the laundry department, retiring in 1991. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish.
The funeral is Saturday, October 21st from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 341 June Street, Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery.
