Philip V. Maggio, Jr.
Methuen, MA – Philip V. “Skip” Maggio, Jr. 67, died Tuesday at the Lawrence General Hospital surrounded by his family
A 39 year resident of Methuen, Philip was born in Everett where he graduated from Everett High School. He went on to attend Wentworth Institute of Boston.
Skip was a true artist. A student of the arts; including music and painting.
According to his family he was an avid antique car lover, and the consummate lover of animals. He will be remembered for his fantastic sense of humor and making people around him feel good about themselves. Skip had an ongoing love for the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.
His son Michael said that his dad always felt he could fix anything.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Ursula M. “Cookie” (Grelle) Maggio, children Michael P. & his wife Natalie M. Maggio of Haverhill, and April M. Maggio of Plaistow, a brother Peter M. & his wife Irene H. Maggio of Atkinson, a stepgrandson Patrick M. Smith also of Haverhill, and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will take place on Saturday morning at 11 o’clock from the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street of Methuen.
Friends may call on Friday from 4-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
