Marie A. Boisvert, 84, died Tuesday at Hospice St. Antoine in North Smithfield. She was the wife of the late Maurice P. Boisvert.
Born in North Attleboro, she was a daughter of the late Alphonse and Roseanna (Levasseur) Robitaille.
She worked as a senior-clerk typist for the State of Rhode Island for many years.
Mrs. Boisvert was the former organist and choir director at Sacred Heart Church in North Attleboro for many years. She was also involved in music ministry at various parishes in Mass. and RI over the years. She had a lifelong love of music and loved to share her talent with others.
She enjoyed traveling and taught piano.
Survivors include a son, Dennis R. Boivsert, of South Australia, two daughters, Leda Michaud, of Pawtucket, and Estelle Jones, of Danielson, CT., 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a niece, Elaine Basque, and her husband James, of Attleboro, and a nephew, Bro. Ronald Lafleche, M.S. of Somerville, MA. She was the mother of the late Paul Boisvert.
Her funeral will be Friday at 10am from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Antoine Chapel, 10 Rhodes Ave., North Smithfield. Burial will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, South Main St., (Rte.152) Attleboro. Visiting hours are Friday from 9-10 am prior to services.
