FALL RIVER - George V. Santos, 73, of 151 Snell St., Fall River, died Wednesday in Fall River at his home. He was the husband of the late Peggy Lee (Wright) Santos. He is survived by 1 Son: Steven G. Santos of Gloucester, MA; 3 Daughters: Donna M. Santos and Linda S. Santos both of Fall River, Susan M. Santos of New Bedford; 1 Brother: Gerald Santos of Westport; 9 Grandchildren: Jessica Stanford, Joshua Stanford, Jacob Santos, Brian Santos, Eric Rego, Jennifer Almeida, Steven Santos, Ashley Rego, and Julie Harrison; 3 Great-Grandfather of Alexis, Josie, and Nemesis; and Several Nieces and Nephews. He was the brother of the late Natalie Bermeister and Lillian Griffin.
Born in Fall River, the son of the late Manuel Viera Santos and the late Anna V. (Oliveira) Santos. He was a resident of Fall River for most of his life and he was currently working at Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River as a Foreman. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 No. Main St., Fall River, MA on Saturday at 7:15 A.M., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Trinity Church, Stafford Rd. at 8:30 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling Hours Friday 2-4 & 7-9 P.M.
