Misiura, Rose age 71 of New Milford died peacefully, with her family at her bedside on Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at Oradell Health Care Center in Oradell. Born in Brooklyn, Rose resided in New Milford since 1961. She will be remembered for her unconditional love and dedication to her husband Ed and her loving family and close friends. She was a caring mother and grandmother. She was bright and quick-witted for her 71 years and she loved spending time with her many close friends and family, talking and sharing stories. She grew up in Brooklyn and attended Finch College in New York, followed by Brooklyn College in Brooklyn earning a Bachelor's degree in Education. Later, she returned to school to earn a degree from Bergen Regional Hospital as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She started and ran a successful business called Almi Electrolysis where she developed lasting relationships and friendships with many of her customers. Rose and Ed met in New York City and throughout their 50 year marriage they maintained their love for activities in the City including, Broadway shows, shopping and dinning out. Rose quietly fought against cancer for the last 18 months of her life and was able to spend special time with her family and friends. Rose is survived by her husband Edward; her daughter and son-in-law, Laura and James Valenti; her son, Michael; and her loving grandchildren Alex and Kyle. Funeral service Friday, 10am at the Volk Leber Funeral Home, 268 Kinderkamack Rd., Oradell. All are invited to arrive at 9am. Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday, 2-4 & 7-9pm.
