Fall River - Marie A. “Yvette” (Caron) Greenhalgh, 88, of Westport passed away Monday, October 16, 2006 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of Ralph B. Greenhalgh.
Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Henry and Yvonne (Lambert) Caron she had lived in Westport since 1947. Prior to her retirement in 1980, she was co-owner and bookkeeper of the former Ralph Greenhalgh & Son Fuel, Electrical and Heating, Westport for 31 years. Mrs. Greenhalgh was a communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport where she was a charter member of the Womens Guild. She was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.
Survivors include a son: Richard B. Greenhalgh and his wife Barbara of Westport; a brother: Paul Caron of Tiverton; a grandson: Scott R. Greenhalgh and his wife Callie of Dartmouth; a great grandson: Robert R. Greenhalgh; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Rhea LeBrun, Irene Stewart, Rita Shaputnic, Theresa Ferrell, Cecile Keefner, Jeanne Medeiros, P. Hector Caron and Henry L. Caron.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, October 20, 2006 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Thursday 5 - 8 P.M.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
