Anne T. (Mackiewicz) Ledwell, 85, died Sunday October 15th in Florida after a period of failing health. She was daughter of the late Alexander and Kazimiera (Kralaglwez) Mackiewicz.
Born in Middleboro, bought up in Whitman and also lived in Nantucket, she was educated in Whitman schools and graduated from Whitman- High School.
She worked for the Commercial Union Insurance Company in Boston ,as a secretary for 10 years.
Anne enjoyed working in her yard and playing Bingo.
She is survived by her son and daughter, Richard Ledwell of Plympton and Carol Marconi of Florida; two grandchildren; also two nieces and one nephew. She was also the mother of the late Anne L. Ledwell and Cheryl Athaide and the sister of the late Stanley Mackiewicz and Sophie Bodwicz.
Funeral service will be held Friday October 20th at 10:00 A.M. in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street, (Route 58 at the Rotary Circle) Whitman. Burial will follow in the St. James Cemetery, Whitman, MA. Visiting hours Thursday October 19th 5-8 P.M..
