William J. Cobb LTC RET, of Kingston, formerly of Orleans, 88, died October 11th at the Jordan Hospital. Husband of Marjorie (Edmonstone) Cobb of Kingston and was predeceased by A. Beryl Cobb. Father of Joyce Larson, Wayne Cobb and Rhonda Duray. He was also survived by stepchildren, Peter, Ian and Jamie Skelly, a brother, Edward B. Cobb, 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 2 nieces. A Memorial Service will be held at the Plymouth Rock Bible Church on Saturday, Nov. 18th at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Bill’s memory to the Plymouth Rock Bible Church, 267 Carver Rd, Plymouth, MA 02360. Mr. Cobb was born in Boston, MA on September 15, 1918 to the late William A. and Emily (Blaine) Cobb. He graduated from Norwood High School and Northeastern University. He was in the US Army during WWII and retired as LTC. He owned Cape Well Drillers. He was a member of the American Legion in Wellfleet. He resided in Kingston for 20 years coming from Needham and Orleans.
Mr. Cobb died at the Jordan Hospital, October 11, 2006.
