Ruth H. (Fisher) MacRoberts, 92, of Brockton formerly of Whitman, died Sunday October 15th at the St. Joseph Manor, Brockton, after a period of failing health .She was the former wife of the late Vernan MacRoberts.
Born on Brockton, brought up in East Bridgewater and a graduated of Whitman High .
She was a Whitman resident for 25 years before moving to Stoughton with her daughter.
Ruth enjoyed music, dancing, day trips and traveling to Washington State to see her sons.
She is survived by her two sons Donald and Harry MacRoberts of Washington State, two daughters, Ruth Ghelfi of Middleboro, formerly of Stoughton, Janet Drew of Whitman, four sisters Barbara Phillips of Whitman, Florence Smith and her husband Joseph, Frances Catrabone, and Grace Theodose all of Brockton; also 14 grandchildren,25 great-grandchildren and 3 great -great grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Kenneth and, Frank Fisher, Bernice Zarella and Marion Murphy
A funeral service will be held Thursday, October 19th at 10:00AM., in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Route 58 at the rotary) Whitman .Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Bryanville, MA.Visiting hours Wednesday October 18th 4-7. Donations may be made to the St. Joseph’s Manor /Activities Fund,215 Thatcher St. ,Brockton, MA.. 02302
