Steven E. Miele, 23, of Derry, NH, died Saturday, October 14, 2006 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Steve was born in Stoneham, MA on March 22, 1983, a son of Edward and Theresa J. (Vitagliano) Miele, and moved to Derry when he was seven months old. He was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy in Derry, Class of 2001. A talented mechanic, he enjoyed cars, motorcycles, boats and snowmobiles and regularly did favors for his friends by working on their vehicles for little or nothing in return. In his youth he raced and performed stunts on bicycles. Steven had worked at an auto body shop in the past and was currently installing awnings. Those who knew and loved him will remember Steven as a person who could “do it all” and knew how to make people laugh.
In addition to his parents of Derry, he is survived by his sister, Stephanie Miele of Melbourne, FL; his brother, Anthony Lanci of Saugus, MA; several aunts, uncles, cousins; and his girlfriend, Ashley Andrews of Derry.
Calling hours were on Tuesday, October 17th from 5 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A funeral service was held on Wednesday at 1PM in the funeral home.
