Westport – Joseph F. Rusin, 89, of Westport died at home October 13, 2006. He was the widower of Laura M. (Belisle) Rusin.
Mr. Rusin was born in Westport, son of the late Michael and Katherine (Cyrona) Rusin, and was a lifelong resident of the town. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II. He was employed as a welder by Firestone Tire & Service Centers for many years. He also owned and operated a small engine repair business in Westport. He was a member of the V.F.W. Ouellette Post # 8502, Westport, and the Knights of Columbus, Westport. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener.
Survivors include a daughter: Laurie M. (Rusin) Johnson of Bradford, VT; 3 sons: Joseph F. Rusin, Jr. of Dartmouth, Dennis A. Rusin of Westport and Richard L. Rusin of Topsham, VT; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.
He was brother of the late Walter Rusin, Stanley Rusin, Michael Rusin, Mary Lennon, Sophie Lennon and Annie Levesque.

Funeral from the funeral home at 8 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 A.M. at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
