Obituary

Mary Bertoncini,(Turbitt) 92, formerly of Hillcrest Avenue, Providence, died peacefully surrounded by her family October 12, 2006 at the Elmhurst Extended Care Facility in Providence. She was the wife of the late Alfred F. Bertoncini, Sr.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late James and Lillian C. (Whitney) Turbitt.
Mary was a past member of the Julianne Guild and Alumnae Association of St. Theresa Church in Providence.
She previously worked as a weaver for the A.D. Julliard in Olneyville and the Gorham Manufacturing Co. retiring in 1979.
She is survived by a son, Alfred F. Bertoncini, Jr., Providence Fire Dept. (ret.) and his wife Caroline B. of Smithfield, a daughter, Paula M. Foye and her husband John F. of North Providence, three grandsons, David M. Bertoncini of North Providence, Mark F. Bertoncini of Oviedo, FL, and Paul J. Bertoncini of Johnston, four great grandchildren, and one brother James W. Turbitt of North Providence. She was the sister of the late Lillian C. Mahoney.
Her funeral will be held Monday at 8:45 am from the *ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Thomas Church, 65 Fruit Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation Sunday 4-8pm.
