Barbara R. (Dec) Hudson, 64, died Thursday, October 12 at her home under the care of Old Colony Hospice. She was the wife of Richard J. Hudson. Born in Boston, she was raised in Roxbury and a graduate of Roxbury Schools. Mrs. Hudson was a resident of Stoughton for the past 15 years, previously living in West Roxbury. She worked as an Advertising Clerk for Hub Mail Advertising in Dorchester for several years. In her free time, she enjoyed shopping, cooking and spending time with her granddaughter.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Donna M. Houston of North Attleboro and Robert J. Houston of Brockton. She was the sister of Diane Powers of Milford and the late Joseph Dec. She is also survived by her granddaughter Judith Rosalie Houston.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, October 16 at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday 2-5 PM. Donations in Barbara’s name may be made to Old Colony Hospice, 1 Credit Union Way, Randolph, 02368. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, North Attleboro.
