GAIL F. (LINCOLN) LANE, age 62, of Hingham, died at her home on Wednesday, October 11th after a long illness. Mrs. Lane was born in Boston and was a lifelong resident of Hingham, graduating from Hingham High School and Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois. After college, she was a teacher in the Scituate Public Schools for 6 years. She was a member of the Hingham Historical Society and was an avid historian and quilter.
She leaves her husband, James F. Lane and two sons; Jeffrey T. Lane and Andrew J. Lane all of Hingham. Also survived by her two brothers; Rodger W. Lincoln, Jr. of Norwell and Richard W. Lincoln of Bath, Maine.
A Funeral Service will be conducted on Saturday, Oct. 14th at 11 AM at the South Shore Baptist Church, 578 Main St. (Rt. 228), Hingham.
Friends may visit at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Old Colony Hospice, One Credit Union Way, Randolph, MA 02368.
The interment will be in the High Street Cemetery, Hingham.
