Obituary

Harold E. Christenson, 91, died Saturday, October 7, 2006, in Sterling Healthcare. He was a resident of West Boylston for over 75 years. Harold loved motorcycles and his rides through the New England countryside. He was active in community affairs, including the Masons – Major General Henry Knox Lodge, VFW Post 6907, American Legion Post 204, DAV Boylston Lodge, Sponsored WBHS Scholarship, Senior Citizens, Council on Aging, Elder Citizens, and Historical Society. He was a decorated Army officer and landed at Utah Beach in Normandy and fought in northern Europe in the Battle of the Bulge. He was awarded three Purple Hearts and two Bronze Stars.

He is survived by two nephews, Kenneth Peter Christenson of Boynton Beach, Florida and Richard S. Warner of Hancock, New Hampshire and a niece, Janet M. Paulin of Forest Park, Illinois. He was predeceased by his wife Marjorie (Midgeley) Christenson, two sisters, Marie C. Seaver and Gladys E. Millar, and a brother, James E. Christenson.
