Lawrence E. “Larry” Fraher, 61, of Charlestown died on Sunday October 8, 2006 at home. He was the beloved fiancé of Molly A. Walsh to whom he had spent the last 35 years together with.
Born in Winthrop, Ma on October 9, 1944 he was a dear son of the late Thomas A. and Alice (Sears) Fraher.
Larry was raised and educated in Winthrop. He was a 1962 graduate of Winthrop High School and had attended Boston University.
Mr. Fraher was employed by the Boston Symphony Orchestra for 23 years was the Assistant Ticket Manager before retiring 2 ½ years ago due to illness.
Larry was a communicant of the Arch Street Chapel in Boston. He enjoyed sports; football being one of his favorites and was also an avid reader and was quite knowledgeable on the subject of the Civil War. He had lived in Charlestown for the past 12 years and was formerly of the Fenway area of Boston for 25 years.
Besides his beloved fiancé he is survived by his devoted brothers Stephen Fraher and his wife Lee of Fairfield, Conn. and Thomas Fraher and his wife Eva of Winthrop. His loving nieces and nephew Colin Fraher and Bridget Fraher both of Fairfield, Conn and Katherine Fraher of Winthrop.
His funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Thursday October 12th at 9:00 A.M. from the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield followed by a mass of Christian burial celebrated at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St.(Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Mansfield.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday October 11th from 4-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
