M.W. “Bubba” Gordon, 74, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Sunday, October 8, 2006 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 4 PM Wednesday, October 11, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne McCrimmon and Rev. Barry Gordon officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Gordon was born October 22, 1931, in Ben Hill County, to the late Charlie Richard and Louise Hasty Gordon. He was former owner/operator of Terrie’s Jean Shop and an insurance salesman for Liberty National and Capitol Security. Mr. Gordon served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Mr. Gordon is survived by his wife: Thelma D. “Sis” Gordon of Fitzgerald; one granddaughter: Terrie Terrell of Fitzgerald; three great-grandchildren: Kelsey Evans, Mallory Terrell, and Dustin Terrell, all of Fitzgerald; and one sister: Mary G. Reynolds of Fitzgerald. He was preceded in death by a daughter: Jan Gordon Hollingsworth and three brothers.
