BRIDGEWATER — Jeanne A. (MacLean) Haddix, 81, of Bridgewater died Friday, Oct. 6, 2006, at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Parris Haddix.
Born in Boston, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Rhoda (Siteman) MacLean.
Mrs. Haddix was a nurse’s aide at Quincy City Hospital for 10 years and at Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Brockton for three years.
She had been a resident of Bridgewater for the past 21 years, previously living in Quincy for 20 years.
Mrs. Haddix is survived by two children, Jeannie Splaine and Parris “Skip” Haddix, both of Bridgewater; seven sisters and brothers, Connie, Ann, Margaret, Malcolm, Richard, Alfred and Samuel Jr.; two grandchildren, Suzanne Skaltsis and Scott Splaine; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2006, in Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Arrangements are by Prophett Funeral Home, Bridgewater.
