Costantina Rossi, Of Boston’s North End and Medford, died Saturday evening at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital, after a brief illness. She was 91.
Born and raised in Anzano, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Rocco and Rosaria Rossi. She came to the United States 40 years ago and settled in the North End. A loving mother, grandmother and firend to many, Costantina enjoyed gardening and sharing the fruits of her labor with family and friends.
Beloved wife of the late Marcelino Rossi, she was the mother of John and his wife Ethel of Medford, Rosaria and her husband Peter of Switzerland, Anthony of Medford, and the late Rosa Rossi. She was a loving grandmother to 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Emilio Rossi of Malden.
A Funeral Mass will be offerd Wednesday at 9 am in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery, Forest Hills, Boston. Family and friends may visit Tuesday from 4 - 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford.
