James T. “Jim” Sharpe Sr. of Medford died Tuesday unexpectedly in Melbourne, FL.
Born in Chelsea, he was the son of the late Mellon and Gladys (MacGill) Sharpe.
Jim was a Carpenter, employed by Local 33 who worked in the Boston Area and retired in 1990.Mr. Sharpe was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Shriners Temple in Wilmington.
Beloved husband of Carol (Gingras) and the late Olympia (Bramante) Sharpe. Devoted father of James T. Sharpe Jr. of Medford, Kim Gingras of Wilmington, stepfather of Albert Gingras of East Boston, Brian Gingras of North Andover, Denis Gingras of Wilmington, and Ann Marie Gingras-Klein of Abington. Also survived by 14 loving grandchildren. Brother of John Sharpe, Marilyn Sheldon both of Burlington, June Sheldon of Lynnfield, Dorothy Malcom, Barbara Pinneau both of Revere, Evelyn Gillespie of Georgetown, Ellie Stone of Billerica and the late Clifford Sharpe.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Monday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 514 High St., Medford at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Saturday and Sunday 4 thru 8.
Interment will be private.
