LOWELL—Daniel J. Driscoll, a lifelong resident of Lowell, died Wednesday September 11th, at Saints Memorial Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Marge (Fitzpatrick) Driscoll, who survives him.
He was born in Lowell, a son of the late Mortimer and Margaret (Nolan) Driscoll, and was a graduate of St. Patrick’s Brothers’ School and Lowell High School.
He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was employed by Gervais Motors, in Lowell, for over 20 years as Parts Manager.
Mr. Driscoll was very active in the Immaculate Conception Church. He served as an Usher and a Eucharistic Minister. He was involved with the 125th Anniversary Committee of the Parish, as well as holding membership in the St. Vincent de Paul Society and the Holy Name Society. He also participated in the Immaculate Conception Bowling League.
Surviving him besides his wife are a brother and sister-in-law: Richard and Jeannine Driscoll, of Dracut; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Mary Driscoll, of Lowell; and Margaret and Francis Zipps, of Lowell; two sisters-in-law: Anna Fierimonte, of Lowell; and Mary and George Byron, of Lowell; nieces and nephews: Mary Ann and John Battle, of Pepperell; George and Lisa Byron, of Tyngsboro; George and Janice Fierimonte, of Tewksbury; Mark Fierimonte, of Lowell; and Sheila Fierimonte, of Lowell; grandnieces and grandnephews: Colleen Connolly, Brittany Byron, Adam Byron, Jill Battle, Jennifer Battle, Brian Battle, Kim Lampron, Meghan Fierimonte, Marisa Fierimonte, John Fierimonte, Mark Fierimonte, Matthew Fierimonte, Sarah Fierimonte, and Tiffany Fierimonte.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 PM on Friday, September 13th, at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38). His Funeral Mass to be offered Saturday morning, September 14th, at 10:30 AM at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery.
