Homer W. Lamb, 73, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at the Fitzgerald Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Friday, October 6, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Lamb was born October 16, 1932, in Turner County, to the late Pleasant W. and Dora Rumph Lamb. He lived in the community most of his life and worked for the Ben Hill County Road Department for 35 years.
Mr. Lamb is survived by his sons: Ralph Taylor and James Taylor, both of Philadelphia, PA and Westley Lamb of Leesburg; daughters: Jennifer Garner of Fitzgerald and Betty Jean Collier of Abbeville; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; sister: Alice Cumbee of Fitzgerald and a brother: Charlie Lamb of Warwick. He was preceded in death by his wife, Daisy Jarvis Lamb.
