LOWELL—Francis P. Donahue, 78 years old, died Monday September 9th, at the D’Youville Senior Care Center, following a long illness. He was the husband of Beverly (Ames) Donahue, of Lowell.
He was born in Lowell, on March 18, 1924, a son of the late Francis and Mary (Coyle) Donahue, and was educated in the Lowell Public Schools System.
During World War II, he served in the United States Marine Corps. Upon his release from service, he worked in the Shipping/Receiving Department of Sears Department Store, in Lowell, until his retirement in 1989.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons: John Donahue, of Austin, TX; and Garry Donahue, of Lowell; and four grandchildren.
