Obituary

Robert A. Stumpf, 82, of 79 Baldwin Street, died Monday, Oct. 2
in his home after being stricken ill.
He leaves a sister Rita Marsailes of Claremont, FL, several nieces and
nephews, his two dogs and closest companions Acorn and Agarn and his
longtime hunting buddy David Flibbert of Webster. He is predeceased by
three brothers John, Thomas and Paul Stumpf and five sisters Frances Stumpf,
Elizabeth McMenemy, Eleanor Small, Ruth Drum and Anna Bedard.
Mr. Stumpf was born in Palmer son of Albert and Emma (Schadey) Stumpf.
He was a wireworker for 34 years at Thompson Steel & Wire and Concord Wire
both in Worcester before retiring in 1986. He served in the South Pacific
during WWII in the United States Marine Corps and after WWII he served in
the United States Army for four years. He was a member of the National
Rifle Association and the North Brookfield Sportsman Club. He was an avid
trap shooter and hunter.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 11a.m. in the Mass.
Memorial Veterans Cemetery, 111 Glenallen St.,Winchendon with Military
Honors. There are no calling hours. MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main
