Ruby Elizabeth Johnson Green, age 80, died at her home on Sardis Lake Drive near Batesville, MS on Monday, October 2, 2006. She was first married to the late Hugh C. Blackburn and later she married the late Sidney A. Green. Mrs Green was a homemaker and a member of Oasis Assembly of God in Oxford, MS.
Seven Oaks Funeral Home will conduct the graveside service in Huntsville Memory Gardens, Huntsville, AL at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 6, 2006. Presiding at the graveside service will be Brother Charles Homan, minister at Springdale Family Worship Center of Water Valley, MS. Pallbearers are: Guy Falkenberry, Scott Falkenberry, Tim Petty, Doug Petty, Greg Petty and Ricky Slayton.
Surviving Mrs. Green are her daughter, Vicki Blackburn Downs of Batesville, MS; sisters, Frances Slayton of Huntsville, AL, Fannie Mae Falkenberry of Huntsville, AL and Shirley Petty of Brownsboro, AL.
Mrs. Green was also preceded in death by her parents William Milton and Martha DeEvelyn Blagburn Johnson and sons Hugh Clifton Blackburn and Mark Clayton Blackburn.
