Mancinelli– Of Bridgewater formerly of Whitman, September 30th Jean (D’Arpino) 75, loving mother of Diana Brown and her husband Steven of Bridgewater, Anna Ferguson and her husband John of Middleboro, and Deborah Smerz and her husband Dennis of Bridgewater; sister of Catherine Lozzi of Whtiman, Rose Cassiani of Brockton, and Anna Capachione of Buzzards Bay. She is survived by seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the grandmother of the late Christina Smerz.
Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, October 3rd 4-7 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel (Route 58 @ the Rotary Circle) Whitman. As requested by her family a private graveside service will follow. Jean (D’Arpino) Mancinelli 75, died Saturday September 30th in the Life Care Center of Raynham after a periods of failing health.
Born in Italy a daughter of Roberto and Maria (Vicalvi) D’Arpino, Jean moved to the United States in 1947 where she settled in Whitman for over 50 years and raised her three daughters until moving to Bridgewater 8 years ago.
Jean was a devoted mother, making her three daughters and their families the central focus of her life.
She is survived by her daughters, Diana Brown of Bridgewater, Anna Ferguson of Middleboro, and Deborah Smerz of Bridgewater and her sisters Catherine Lozzi of Whitman, Rose Cassiani of Brockton and Anna Capachione of Buzzards Bay. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the grandmother of the late Christina Smerz.
As requested by her family a private burial will be held. Arrangements by the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Whitman.
